Scarlett’s cover of ‘One Sunday Morning’ falls into the second category.

Brave, noisy, and often beautiful, she takes just five minutes, forty-nine seconds to turn Wilco’s twelve minute opus into an uncompromisingly off-kilter hymn, layered umms and ahhs on top of heartbeat-kickdrums, cyclical guitar lines, glockenspiel and various clicks and whirs, retaining the life-and-mortality-heart of Jeff Tweedy’s lyrics.
